Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Davis, of Platte City, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Tina Marie, to Frank Anderson, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. F.B. Anderson of Ferrelview. Tina is a 1980 graduate of Platte County R-3 High School and is presently employed at National Federation of State High School Associations in Kansas City. Frank is a 1978 graduate of Platte County R-3 High School and is majoring in architecture at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene W. Hoy of Kansas City will be honored with a reception in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary, Sunday, Feb. 15 at the Kansas City International Airport Holiday Inn, 11832 Plaza Circle, from 2-5 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Hoy were married by the late Rev. Homer S. Huff, Clay County, on Feb. 19, 1931. Mr. Hoy was employed by the Milk Producers Marketing Co., Fairfax, Kansas City, Kan. for more than 30 years.
Gerald Hart, superintendent of the Platte County R-3 School District, is shown as he was presented the Citizen of the Year award at the Platte County Business and Professional Association annual banquet Jan. 31 at the Hilton Airport Inn. Making the presentation is Jeff Elsea, BPA first vice president.
