Downtown Historic Parkville invites young and old to the 2010 Christmas on the River Old Town Holiday Celebration on Friday evening, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 4. This is Parkville’s 18th Annual Christmas on the River.


Between the Lines by Ivan Foley: The entertaining and enlightening Chris Stigall is leaving KCMO 710 AM for a new gig at the eighth largest media market in the country: Philadelphia, which is fitting because Stigall is kind of the Rocky Balboa of morning radio. His last day on the air will be Nov. 30. Tune into Stigall’s show next Monday morning for all the gory details, as Chris is expected to talk extensively about it that day. No worries, our buddy Stigall will continue to pen a weekly column for The Landmark from Philly.

Addisyn Page, daughter of Jennifer Page of Platte City and Rob Page of Platte City, and granddaughter of Bill and Nancy Peek of Platte City, demonstrated her commitment this week to helping those less fortunate. Deja Vu Salon in Platte City cut Addisyn’s hair to donate to the Locks of Love Foundation. This is the second time Addisyn has donated to the foundation.


Platte County Sheriff’s Department is gearing up for their 16th annual Shop With a Deputy program on Saturday, Dec. 11.
