IN PITCH MAGAZINE’S ‘BEST OF KANSAS CITY’
Barley & Vine, a unique craft brewery and wine bar based in Platte City, has been named “Best New Brewery” in The Pitch Magazine’s 2024 “Best of Kansas City” awards.
As Kansas City’s only woman-owned, sommelier-led brewery and wine bar, Barley & Vine’s innovative approach to craft beverages has quickly made it a local favorite.
Winning the “Best New Brewery” title, chosen by The Pitch’s readers, underscores Barley & Vine’s commitment to creating a vibrant space that brings together craft beer, wine, and community.
The recognition highlights the hard work and dedication of founder Laura Lowry, along with Billy Campbell, head brewer. Lowry and Campbell have combined their expertise in the wine and beer worlds with a passion for craft beverages to bring a fresh experience to Kansas City’s beverage scene.
“Our team is honored to be recognized by Kansas City locals,” said Lowry. “We set out to create a place where people can experience high-quality craft beer that is approachable by everyone and wine in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see that vision resonate with the community,” she added.
“We’re excited to keep innovating and bringing more to the KC scene,” said Campbell.
Since opening its doors, Barley & Vine has become known for its carefully crafted beer selection, Sommelier-selected wines, and unique events that celebrate local flavors and the artistry of beverage making and tasting. This recent accolade from The Pitch solidifies Barley & Vine as a standout in Kansas City’s ever-growing craft beverage industry.
