The Platte County Federated Republican Women’s club will meet Monday, July 15, 5:30 p.m. The club now has a new meeting location of 10015 North Ambassador Dr., Suite 206, Kansas City in Platte County.

From 5:30 to 6 p.m., Fricker and Owen will be presenting information and answering questions on the Platte County half cent sales tax proposal that is on the Aug. 6 election ballot.
If approved by voters, the half cent sales tax would generate $400 million to expand the county jail capacity to 471 inmates. It would be the largest tax increase in the history of the county.
