Dennis Fisher will remain at the helm of Platte County’s largest school district another three years. On Thursday, the Park Hill Board of Education voted to extend Fisher’s contract as superintendent another three years, through 2012. The board discussed the superintendent’s performance in a closed session meeting after the regular meeting on Thursday and then voted 7-0 to extend Fisher’s contract.


The Platte County Lady Pirates capped a 28-2 season with the state basketball title last Saturday by beating Webb City 81-75. The coaching staff consists of Chris Stubbs, Anna Nutt, Mitch Black and Chuck Siler.


The developers of the proposed Lake at Tomahawke Ridge development several miles east of Platte City have yet to submit their proposal for annexation and rezoning to the City of Kansas City.
