The Clay County vote totals were officially certified by the Clay County Board of Elections on Monday of this week.

Adding in the Clay County totals doesn’t change the overall result at R-3, which features the election of Amy MacCuish, Sharon Sherwood and Tyler Fadler. But it did change the order of finish. Fadler had outdone Sherwood in the Platte County portion of the results, which were reported last week.

Platte County portion of the results showed:
Amy MacCuish 1,145
Tyler Fadler 1,015
Sharon Sherwood 991
Matt Craine 963
Bobby Vann 687

But adding in the Clay County totals changes the official results to:
MacCuish 1,258
Sherwood 1,094
Fadler 1,082
Craine 1,078
Vann 730

Top three vote-getters are elected. Final results show Fadler edging Craine by only four votes for the final spot.
Vote totals inside the Clay County portion of the district:

Craine 115
MacCuish 113
Sherwood 103
Fadler 67
Vann 43

Sherwood and Vann were the two incumbents in the race.
