First some housekeeping: Landmark Pick’em has “scratched” the Week 17 Bills / Bengals game consistent with the NFL’s announcement that the game will not be resumed and has been canceled. With that the Week 17 results have been finalized and the winners for Week 17 in order are:
- corladawson with 14 picks correct.
- doodytou with 13 picks correct and 20 tie-breaking points.
- grantjackson with 13 picks correct and 19 tie-breaking points.
Interestingly, if you look at The Leaderboard you will now see that grantjackson has overtaken the field and has moved into first place overall for the 2022 season by a small margin. It’s going to be a race to the finish in Week 18 for the top 10 or so players as placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd by any number them will surely shake up the final results.
In the Landmark Staff League, it seems that only Landmark columnist and local conspiracy theorist Brad Carl can stop Tech Guy Schneider from claiming the 2022 crown for the staff league. That will require Brad to take first place and for Schneider to not place at all. Being the sports betting enthusiasts they are, perhaps publisher Ivan Foley and Landmark columnist Guy Speckman will make a friendly wager on who comes out on top.
My advice to them is bet on Schneider’s data science and nerd power versus Brad’s tin foil hat…
