Week 13 – The Leaderboard

There can be only one.

This weekend Tech Guy Schneider pulled together a Pickem Leaderboard with the season-to-date player breakdown.  It shows the number of first, second and third place showings by players.  It also shows the total number of correct picks and total tie-breaking points for each player.  The player field is ranked using the following logic:

Each first place showing gains a player five ranking points, second place showing gains a player three ranking points, and third place gains one point.  The ranking order starts first by comparing the total ranking points followed by the total number of correct picks and finally the total tie-breaking points.

You can view the Leaderboard at any time under the Landmark Pickem! menu on The Platte County Landmark’s website.  Please keep in mind that Tech Guy is still working on the finishing touches for the Leaderboard so please forgive him any style issues.  He recommends viewing the Leaderboard via a PC until he gets the finishing touches on it later this week (or thereabouts).  He also wanted to point out that the Leaderboard does sort by Leagues as well.  In fact, if you look at the Landmark Staff League Leaderboard  you will notice that Tech Guy Schneider currently leads Foley 6 to 1 in first place finishes.  Admittedly, it also shows that Foley does have a lot of second place finishes, but as Iceman said in Top Gun, “The trophy for second place is in the bathroom”

The winners for Week Thirteen in order are:

  1. Grantjackson with 14 picks correct.
  2. JasonG with 13 picks correct.
  3. Christine Cheng with 12 picks correct.

Honorable mention to Grantjackson who was one pick short of a perfect week had it not been for that pesky Giants vs. Commanders tie.

Winners please email your mailing address to ivan@plattecountylandmark.com and we’ll get your gift cards from our prize sponsors in the mail to you.

Congrats to our Week Thirteen winners!  Time to start making your Week Fourteen picks.
