Platte City Community Band concert set

The Platte City Community Band will present the second concert of its 2022-2023 season on Sunday, Dec. 4, 3 p.m., at the Wilson Performing Arts Center at Platte County High School. Some members of the bank are shown above, performing at the Platte City Holiday Lighting Celebration on Main Street last Wednesday night.

“A Wonderful Christmas” will include music from the holiday classic “Home Alone,” as well as music from Andy Williams, a unique arrangement of familiar Christmas melodies, and an annual sing-along.

Special guests for this concert will be a flute/string ensemble and a brass quintet from the music department of William Jewell College. Admission is free.
