Women voters need to rally

EDITOR:

Below are some reasons I am fearing for my country.

  1. Taking away certain books. By School Boards.
  2. Dictating what our teachers can, and cannot, teach.
  3. Changing gender definitions. Can they even be used?
  4. Re-writing history. Leaving out anything that goes against today’s ideas.
They are wanting to change the past mistakes our country has made. We learn from past mistakes. That’s how we grow better.
This effects what our children learn.

A few decades ago, I remember how horrified we were when we learned that, due to overpopulation, Chinese women were only allowed to have one child. No twins or multiple births. They didn’t say, but I guess the extra child was disposed of. They never said. Everyone was horrified. Men, women, Republicans and Democrats. We were together in our horror.

Now, in our country, the Supreme Court of the United States has sent us back to the dark ages. By us, I mean we women.

They took away our personal body control by reversing Roe vs Wade.

We have “conservative” men telling women, of a child bearing age that they cannot make the heartbreaking decision regarding their bodies, even in certain situations…rape, incest, even when the mother’s life is at stake. Some states have taken the above situations in mind. They have turned them into criminals. If anyone helps, doctors, Uber drivers, they can be arrested. If a neighbor knows what you’re doing and turns you in to the authorities, they can be rewarded money for that.

Doctors can go to jail.

When WWII started, I remember a picture of Uncle Sam with an arm outstretched, saying “We Need You.” This was directed to the young men to join the military to protect their country.

Now, we need you women to answer that cry, to protect your rights. Women outnumber men voters. Please, think about electing or re-electing people who have your interests and needs at the top of their list.

Everything I have mentioned can be called fascism, a dictatorship or communism. It sure isn’t called democracy.
