Some top area bands highlight Zona concert series

At Zona Rosa’s Central Park

Summertime brings the opportunity for outdoor concerts featuring some top local musical acts.

This year, Zona Rosa, the outdoor shopping complex off of I-29 at Barry Road, has put together a list of Friday and Saturday night entertainment with its Zona Rosa Summer Concerts in the Park.

The concerts will take place at Zona Rosa’s newly-revamped Central Park, which is the green space next to Bravo Italian restaurant.

Each Friday and Saturday of the series, bands will play from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Every Friday, attendees can enjoy burgers and brews from the Hereford House Tent.

The public is invited to bring a chair, blanket and friends to enjoy the free concerts.

Zona Rosa says more details are forthcoming. Here is the list of dates and bands:

Friday, June 10: The Zeros.

Saturday, June 11: Suburbans.

Friday, June 17: The Uproot.

Saturday, June 18: Petty Thieves/Seger.

Friday, June 24: Right on Red.

Saturday, June 25: Brass Rewind.

*July 4th Weekend, no concerts!*

Friday, July 8: Big Time Grain Co.

Saturday, July 9: Boogie Nights.

Friday, July 15: Way too Famous.

Saturday, July 16: Steven Bankey & The Flatlanders.

Friday, July 22: Drew Six.

Saturday, July 23: The Champagne.

Friday, July 29: KC Groove Therapy.

Saturday, July 30: Stolen Winnebagos.

Friday, August 5: Run With It.

Saturday, Aug. 6: Cantaloupe City.

Friday, Aug. 12: Lily B Moonflower Band.

Saturday, Aug. 13: Ronnie Ward Band.

Friday, Aug. 19: Nicole Springer Band.

Saturday, Aug. 20: Superstar Mafia.
