Word of the closing started circulating on social media the afternoon of Monday, March 3, and by Tuesday afternoon, March 4, the Hereford House website and telephone message confirmed the permanent closing.

The phone message also informs patrons they can visit Hereford House locations in Independence or Shawnee.

This is the second Hereford House location to shut down since a one-time worker at the Leawood location–now closed–was charged with 22 counts of criminal threat and admitted he used his body parts to contaminate food served to customers at the Leawood restaurant.

This is the second announced closing of a longtime Zona Rosa tenant in recent weeks. Earlier it was announced the Forever 21 store at Zona will be closing within 3-6 months. Forever 21 sells accessories, beauty products, home goods, and clothing for women, men and children.
