Letters to the Editor: Control of my body

EDITOR:

Right now, people who have no right are trying to take control of my body. And what makes me the most insulted is that I think at least 90% are men.

How dare they presume to tell me, and other women, what we can and cannot do with our bodies. So if, God forbid, I am raped, or suffered incest, they say I have no recourse but carry that fetus. Even when a pregnancy is in my fallopian tube, I can’t abort.

Why? Because they know better. If I decide for or against abortion, that should be MY right. Not some man who was elected and knows best for me.

Let’s put the shoe on the other foot. I’m a woman, elected to office. The idea that there are not enough jobs or houses available for the current population is a problem. So henceforth, every man HAS to get a vasectomy after his second child.

Wait….how can a woman tell me, a man, to get rid of my manhood????

How? I know what’s best for you. Live with it or go to jail. Don’t try to tell me what I can and can’t do with my body.

I know some of what I have said is harsh, I don’t think anyone has the right to dictate how I make my decisions.

Thank you.
