30 Years Ago–April 3, 1992

A musical comedy, “Do Black Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?” has been chosen as the spring play at Platte County R-3 High School in Platte City. Cast members are Vicky Kamphefner George Sharp, Shanin Hawkins, Laura Burge, Staci Weers, Susan Craven, Chip Colvin, Kerry Durrill and Anne Swaney.


After three games the 1992 Platte County Pirate baseball team is off to a 2-1 start. The head coach is Greg Jaros and he is assisted by Pat McKernan.


Edward and Laura Brown are the parents of a new baby girl. She has been named Jennifer Starr. Jennifer was born on March 23, 1992.


It was a special occasion at Heritage Village in Platte City Thursday when a party was held for Alta Bartlett to celebrate her 102nd birthday. Maxine Davis was one of her visitors who sported a dress that Alta made 60 years ago.


A group of 34 students from Barry Middle School spent their spring break in Washington, D.C.


Michael and Lorie Havner, Edgerton, Mo., are the new parents of a baby girl named Alexandra Marilee. She was born on March 20, 1992.
