Traveling on area roads and highways in Platte County is treacherous today. There have been three crashes on southbound Interstate 29 near the 28 mile marker, which is between Dearborn and Camden Point. The Platte County Sheriff’s Department says one of the vehicles involved is a tractor-trailer that was hauling 40,000 pounds of pork butts. Authorities say seven pallets of the pork butts fell out. All crashes are still under investigation, more details as they become available.
