Being cut from every week to twice per month
A major change to the recycling program is coming in Platte City.
The change begins in February, when the City of Platte City will reduce the number of times it offers recycling pick-up. Beginning in February, collection will be twice per month instead of every week.
Collection will take place during the first and third weeks of each month, city officials say. Collection will continue on the customer’s regular trash day.
City Hall says it will have more information coming soon.
