30 Years Ago–December 27, 1991

The question of what to do with the old Annex school building is still being pondered by the Platte County R-3 School Board and will be the subject of a public hearing the board will hold during its monthly meeting.


Presiding Commissioner Carol Tomb presented certificates to Larry Cockriel and Bobby Hensley for the Platte County Road and Bridge Department. Both men have worked 19 years with the department.


Students from DECA and the student council loaded up a truck with food for the needy at Platte County R-3 High School in Platte City. The Platte City Chamber of Commerce will distribute the food personally to the needy.


Mr. and Mrs. Wally Lloyd attended the wedding of their granddaughter, Pammy Ivey. Her groom was Richard Crist. They were married at the Richmond Christian Church.


The Platte County Commission Thursday declined the invitation to donate $500 to help defray printing costs for the Metrogreen plan which covers green areas for the greater Kansas City area. Presiding Commissioner Carol Tomb said there was no indication that Platte County officials were contacted before the report was done.


Mr. and Mrs. Truby Lanham celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary.
