45 Years Ago–December 24, 1976

The Wells Bank employees and directors enjoyed a Christmas party last Friday evening at the Hilton Airport Plaza Inn.


Mr. and Mrs. Don Dale of Platte City announce the birth of their son, Travis Wayne, on Dec. 22, 1976 at the Spelman Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Kneuven of Parkville are the maternal grandparents and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Dale of Platte City are the paternal grandparents.


During the December meeting of the board of directors of the Farley State Bank, two new officers were named. Richard W. Brooks, formerly of the First National Bank of Kansas City, is the new senior vice president and cashier. He has replaced the retiring Mike Jarowitz. John Walter Farley was named assistant cashier and became the fourth generation to work at the bank organized by his great-grandfather, J.W. Farley.


Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Adkins, Mrs. Gene Bledsoe and Dianna enjoyed the Jim Nabors show at Kemper Arena Thursday evening.


The Platte-Clay Electric Company employees had their Christmas party Wednesday night at the Platte Black Angus Steak House.


Fred Rollins, Jr. has returned home after back surgery. His condition is said to be improving nicely.
