Convenience store hit by armed robbers

Near Interstate 29 and 72nd St.

Kansas City police say a convenience store in Platte County was robbed at gunpoint Monday morning. The XTRA Miles convenience store at 6417 NW 72nd St., Kansas City in Platte County, was hit by two suspects armed with a handgun at 6:49 a.m.

Sgt. Jacob Belcher with the Kansas City Police Department says the two armed suspects entered the business, opened the cash drawer, took money from it and then fled the scene on foot.

The store is located near the intersection of Interstate 29 and 72nd Street, just west of the interstate.

No arrests have been made.
