Growth of Platte County Federated Women

EDITOR:

As Christmas is fast approaching, the Platte County Federated Women would like to say thank you. Our newly formed club has grown beyond our dreams in less than a year. We are proud of our conservative values and these are the things our club believes in. We believe that we all are children of a loving God. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin King, Jr., stated, “Human beings share 99.5% of the same DNA. We are more alike than different. We are one race. We are the human race.”

We believe that parents and taxpayers have the right to know what is being taught to our children in our tax-funded schools. These are our children, we have a voice, we have a vote.

We believe in our Constitution, a document so unique and awe inspiring. It is still relevant today.

We believe in small businesses, the Mom and Pop stores. It was our club that knocked on doors and visited small businesses alerting the community of the hidden tax increase on the MCC voting ballot.

We believe in the right to protect our families and property with our Second Amendment rights.

We believe in supporting our military, our police and all first responders. They put their lives on the line to protect us. Without them we would live in chaos.

We believe in freedom of religion and the beauty of a baby’s life.

We believe in giving back and doing good in this great community that we live in. In our short time as a club we donated personal care items to our sheriff’s department, clothing supplies to the Hillcrest Ministries, cookies to the KC Police Department, donated to the Angel Tree, the Hudson Project, Christmas cards to veterans and we will participate in the Wreaths Across America.

We will continue to inform our community on issues that affect us both nationally and locally.

We will support our Republican officials and our conservative candidates. We believe in the greatness of Platte County where we can live in safety, peace and good will towards our neighbors.

Thank you again for all of your support. A special thank you to Ivan and Cindy at The Landmark Newspaper for all of your support in assisting our club with news releases, etc.

God bless each and every one of you.

Merry Christmas.
