KC woman suffers serious injuries in I-29 crash

A 32-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle collision in the northbound lanes of Interstate 29.

The crash occurred at about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, just south of the 72nd Street exit in Platte County.

According to a traffic crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Brook V. Turner, of Kansas City, was driving a 2015 Nissan northbound on Interstate 29 when she traveled off the left side of the road and struck a concrete barrier.

Turner was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and sustained serious injuries. Turner was transported to the North Kansas City Hospital by ambulance

The Kansas City Police Department assisted Trooper J. Colwell with the Missouri State Highway Patrol with lane closures, while incident reporting was conducted.

It is unknown if Turner had car insurance at the time of the collision, according to the crash report.
