Week 3 – All Hail King Shaw

Landmark Pickem Week 3 Winner

Ivan – how could you?

You picked against the Chiefs in Week 3?! Did you know that to blaspheme is defined as “to speak irreverently about sacred things.” Even Tech Guy Schneider picked the Chiefs, and he is a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan. May The Landmark Pickem gods have mercy on you.  And even though you were proven correct in predicting the Chargers over the Chiefs, you should be required to walk Platte City Main Street with a Shame Nun from Game of Thrones walking behind you.

In other, more uplifting news, Landmark Pickem has a new champion in Roberthshaw with 14 out of 16 correct picks. Bob Shaw becomes the first member of the general public to win the weekly battle, following Week 1 and Week 2 victories by Landmarkers Foley and Guy Speckman, respectively. This week there was a four-way tie for second place, with the winners each making 13 correct picks. However, Nick Lacapria claims second place with his 18 tie-breaking points (based on correct over/under selections—it’s important to make your over/under picks for tie-breaker procedures). This leaves three players tied for third as Dennis K, SAFEJUNO and Greg Murray each made 13 correct picks and earned 11 tie-breaking points.

Bob Shaw gets the top prize of $20 worth of food/drink from Nick and Jake’s in Parkville, and Nick Lacapria gets the $5 gift certificate to Ten & Two Coffee Bar in Parkville.

The top 3 winners for Week 3 are (in order):

  1. Robert Shaw – 14/16 picks correct
  2. Nick Lacapria – 13/16 picks correct and 18 tie-breaking points earned
  3. Dennis K – 13/16 picks correct and 11 tie-breaking points earned
SAFEJUNO – 13/16 picks correct and 11 tie-breaking points earned
Greg Murray – 13/16 picks correct and 11 tie-breaking points earned
