Platte City Police Department this week sent out the following reminder: Don’t forget to lock your car doors even when parked at your residence.

Local police say area law enforcement agencies are reporting a string of thefts from unlocked vehicles. “Do not make it easy for others to get in your car,” says the advisory from Platte City police.
