amie Linn Hardesty of Platte City received a Master of Arts degree in music education at Truman State University’s graduation ceremonies Aug. 4. Hardesty will be working for the Mid-Buchanan School District as a music teacher and band director. Hardesty is the daughter of Steve and Sandy Hardesty and a 2001 graduate of Platte County High School.
Hungry attendees lined up for hot culinary delights being served up with enthusiasm and a smile at the Nick and Jake’s booth at the Taste of Parkville event Thursday evening. Taste of Parkville included dinner and beverages from 15 different restaurants. More than 1,000 people attended.
A parade of motorcycles led by Mayor Dave Brooks and Alderman George McClintock in a military jeep made its way up Fourth Street in Platte City on Saturday evening at the city’s annual End of the Trail Festival.
