Mr. and Mrs. Jack W. Swaney announce the birth of their daughter, Anne Elizabeth McComb, on Tuesday, July 20, 1976 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. and Mrs. George E. Tatman are the maternal grandparents. The paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Swaney.
Dr. and Mrs. Richard W. Calvert left this week for Frankfurt, German for four years. Mrs. Calvert will be employed with the Federal Aviation Administration in Germany.
Miss Mary Robin Wren, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Wren, of Platte City, and Norman Wayne Bryant, son of Dr. and Mrs. Glen Bryant of West Helens, Ark., were united in marriage on July 24, 1976 at the First Christian Church in Platte City.
The courthouse bond proposal in Platte County received a majority vote but failed to get the necessary two-thirds majority for approval.
Mr. and Mrs. George Brandt of Platte City announce the wedding date of their daughter, Kathy, to Jesse Neill, son of Mrs. Mary Neill of Fillmore on Aug. 14, 1976.
