hey everybody welcome in it’s a special episode of landmark live they’re all special but this one is really special because you know what we got some new toys some new gizmos some new gadgets we’re going to try out tonight we’ve got a green screen you know we we could do the weather if we wanted to it probably would not be an accurate forecast but that’s never stopped the other weatherman but tonight we’ve also got a masked singer we’re going to debut so we’ve got a lot of fun stuff in store for you so before we get too far into tonight’s show i think if the masked singer is ready i’m kind of i’m kind of ready to break this out if you guys want to try to guess who our mass singer is tonight give it a shot we’re going to bring the mass singer on and get rolling tech guy schneider we got a new intern schneider working for us see if you can pick out who the masked singer is tonight now mr matt singer yeah is this the first time you’ve ever been dressed as a banana i must ask no i’ve always been a banana did you know that you can actually eat my skin really put me in the oven and i become food yeah well a little ice cream would would be good with you i’m lactose intolerant can’t do that but i will say i heard that you didn’t even know that i was coming to the show until the last minute because i got uh i replaced the kumquat was the kumquat supposed to be here yes i think he was but uh yeah it was not feeling well oh well that’s the banana is always on top of the split yeah what now what is the song that you’re going to perform for us this evening mr banana why don’t i to a rock and roll show i’m not you are that’s a good point we do have a on on one serious note we do have a little update from the health director on uh the latest in the vaccine effort going on in platte county so uh i’ve got a text message from her i will read to you shortly and at some show in the near future we’ll get her back on for another question and answer session because the last one we did was so popular but uh mr has anyone guessed at the mass singer yet has anyone no okay well hey i got a question for you ivan yes have you had your vaccination yet i did i did i had my first shot this morning in fact and have you got the virus yet not yet now yeah i’m feeling fine aren’t you supposed to get it i don’t think that’s how it works but we’ll see oh we’ll see i’ve heard that the second shot maybe is worth where you might have some after effects shall we say yeah how about you have you had your shot um no because i had this different kind of skin than you do you do yeah yeah remember you can eat me well don’t know that i would want to but that’s nice of you to offer uh by the way have you ever glazed me before glazed banana oh no blaze banana i’d have it i know i don’t i keep forgetting to look at you when i’m talking well that’s okay because i like looking at myself you are getting a kick out of that are you out of i’m on tv you are you have quite the figure there thank you yeah so i’m sorry now i’ll shut up so uh whenever we want to reveal the mass singer we can and the mass singer actually has a real song he’s going to do for us a little bit later in the show right yep okay all right it’s wow look at that thank you i like doing that though that was fun i had no idea that was you though no it’s amazing how the screen screen the green screen is magic little green screen high-tech action going for you new uh new intern schneider yes it’s really got some magical stuff going on over there doesn’t schneider is great he’s wearing his tool bag on his hip he is and yeah he said he walked up here tonight he said one day at a time boys you know i used to get confused when i was growing up too it’s like i knew the song like the gospel song one day at a time and i’m like mom how come that show doesn’t play that song yeah they had a different song yeah schneider uh we’re talking about the old tv series one day at a time by the way the maintenance man on there the uh i called him the maintenance man he was like the building maintenance man he was the builder yeah before the apartment complex in which the ladies lived the the one day at a time ladies which was valerie bernelli and uh mackenzie phillips kenzie phillips the mom’s name i have forgotten kind of had an orangish uh kind of a red hair yes uh bonnie might have been was it annie okay somebody if you know the mom’s name on one day at a time hit us up in the chat and maybe somebody will tell us yeah but hey great uh great show great opening there uh banana head that was probably our best opening well yeah it was it was the only one that featured so much high tech it was very cool i gotta give it to schneider schneider is killing it over there he’s going to ask for a raise i me too i had to do that yeah let’s not forget you said you said brad they’re going to know your voice i did say that i’m going to disguise it you did a great job too thank you and that’s one of your better songs so far this first time i’ve seen you dance too by the way i don’t know that i want to see that again but i think the fact that you kept looking at me instead of looking at the banana no it wasn’t his fun watching me do it oh well i i got to see enough of the banana so uh hey schneider whenever you’re uh ready i’d kind of like to show the folks uh this other little trick we from the day what is the date today is the what the oh april first would be three weeks from today yes it’s a very special birthday for somebody oh like brad yeah i’m turning into specific age and one of those one of those big ages that ends in zero you’re turning 50 40. oh okay i thought you were already 40. you’re more than 40. you are turning 50. maybe it might be so we’re gonna have to go out maybe we’ll take the guitar out to to one of our favorite bar and restaurants and we’ll just do that yeah that would be great we’ll do a show before where we’re going to go i mean i don’t want i don’t want to mention people that aren’t sponsors okay well we can mention some past sponsors uh tanners we could they like them i’d like to start playing there we got to talk to the owner about that well we got connections uh tanner’s we also did a show down at the burger theory i think it was the first time i ever had you on was that the burger theory that is true and are they still they’re still cooking it yeah yeah they’re still cooking burgers down there i couldn’t remember yeah by the kci expo center there all right good that’s good good stuff good stuff so we could do one at vix the tan salon you could sing while you’re getting a tan down a total tan be okay i think brown eyed girl are you gonna we actually we’ve got to do the do a show where you actually go in and get a spray tan i mean we should do that i don’t know why we didn’t do that before except we were too interested in letting the girls do it but i think it’d be better be better if you did it but i think you know they might you know vic likes to watch well if it doesn’t i don’t want the one where vic does it to you you don’t no i really that is weird we really don’t it seems our stupid is in agreement with that i would say that vic will probably be okay with that too i would think i would hope so but i also have heard that sometimes oh never mind i don’t want to i better not forget it yeah the spray tan i haven’t been down there for a spray tan in years but yeah i mean that’s a heck of an operation that vic our friend vic parent has going down in total tan which is right by the lows they’re off of barry road so we got to get down there and do another show and you will get a spray tan i love that idea and i also ought to say for instance uh do you see vic now because that you know i haven’t seen vic or any of our yeah see vic used to live right next door to me but he does not anymore so have you seen him in a year not since the panda i’m trying to yeah i don’t have not seen him in person since all this broke i mean you’re one of the few acquaintances and friends that i’ve seen at all in the last year because this has been we were just talking about this before the show started pandemic was right about now right a year ago this week i think all shut down i remember that because it was right when march madness was supposed to start i was supposed to go to the big 12 tournament that day and it all got shut down it was a sad sad day and life’s never been the same no it hasn’t but damn it it’s coming back it’s been like spring yeah it’s been beautiful it’s the the fresh air is smelled so good the breezes sometimes a little bit too much right uh but uh tomorrow it’s gonna take a turn for the crapper is that right about a week you know we you could do uh you could do a weather forecast every show now that we have a green screen yeah we can put a map back there and you could point around like you could be brian busby kind of i wonder i wonder if they had the same delay at kctv5 that we you know delay you know speaking of tv figures i’ve been in uh serious negotiations with pat mcgonagall of channel 4 fox 4 trying to get pat on the show and pat said yeah i want to come on if my boss will let me and we can pick a date so i sent him a few days and he’s like well i can’t do it that day and then i sent him another day he said well i can’t do it that day and then i said oh i’m not going to talk to you anymore no so i just quit messaging him for a while until we can come up with a day but pat you will be on the show and uh so in hot and heavy negotiations because if you don’t we’re going to pick one of the attractive lady yeah which we’ll kind of go over better anyway yeah you know they got an attractive weather person that we could because it is storm season maybe we should just have a weather person on talk about you know i mean we did that with uh where should i be looking here i keep forgetting should we look in here yeah yeah the eyes are awesome the uh no the uh the with what uh what’s his name mike thompson yeah mike thompson yeah we’ve had mike on before and so uh good times we’ll have uh we’ll have a weather person on sometime during the spring because we’ve got some viewers who are really fascinated with storm season i hear from them all the time we should uh there’s plenty of tornado chasing uh uh fan pages on facebook as well you know what we should do yeah now that we’ve got all this high-tech stuff in schneider we should just load up and go storm chasing some night and just go live the green screen oh yeah we want to make sure our insurance is paid up before we head out with that that’s a good thing that’ll be that would be a heck of a should be fun yeah it would be good so uh dot know angie moody that’s the name we haven’t mentioned on the show for a while haven’t seen her well you know she she has left the flat city chamber of commerce and she used to be a regular guest yes and uh you know angie was at the time single i’m going to assume she still is we always talked about maybe and she was kind of not so receptive to it right but like doing a uh dating game episode but um i think that you know if we just had a volunteer to step forward and we could maybe you’ll get one play the dating guy and i should also mention that uh i’ve always wanted to be a game show host i’ve really been thinking about that a lot yeah and but i’m trying to come up with something original i haven’t come up with anything original dating game at least be a lot of fun to kind of test the waters but uh yeah you know maybe we could do a tag team hosting game show someday too maybe we can just turn the landmark live into a game show we should we should prizes you can get prizes from your sponsor you know what we’re going to have prizes as soon as ameristar starts having concerts again which won’t be long guys won’t be long i’m going to go to concerts together yeah well yeah um gosh why air supply that’s the one we gotta hit yeah i think so i know you you’ve been uh you’ve been always wanted to go see them haven’t you i really i just you just i like them i do too i do i’d love to snuggle with you durian that’s not we don’t have but covered you know you can’t do that anymore brad but listen um what’s your song that you’re going to perform you’re going to do a real song i think we should we should talk about some of some of the news before yeah yeah yeah but i’ve got a very special song this will be the first time that on the show i have performed a piece of a song that i have previously written you know last time i did stuff on the fly yeah that was awesome too by the way this thank you and this this is just a part of a song that i’m actually in the process of recording that will probably be available eventually on spotify and itunes oh making a video too is it just audio we might be able to i think you should do a video too with the banana with the dancing banana by the way so yeah uh parkville was been in the news you know there’s some talk about uh i don’t know some kind of strange come some kind of secret not so secret club down in parkville that the people can go into and and pay a membership to allegedly and just maybe go in and uh maybe they should read your column yeah read my column people might i don’t know if there’s anything to it but i’m sure getting a lot of calls about it and and what what what’s going on can i ask what because it’s in your column yeah what what are they doing at the secret club i don’t know you know we’re just gonna have to go down there you know one guy suggested we just go down there and hang out you know hang out on the street and watch the traffic sounds like it could be expensive we got schneider schneider set up maybe we just snap schneider set up a camera and just uh like we don’t have him that way we don’t have to stay there all night right we just set up a cam especially what’s going on on the streets see if there’s traffic we could do that um ironically that’s what my song is about really well you read the column i did read the column it inspired me and and it also confused me yeah well i’m confused as well because i don’t understand why you would i mean i’m just going to say a little bit i understand why you would pay a whole bunch of money to go do something that you can do at home exactly exactly and you know unless you just like to have a certain group of folks you like to or maybe that’s and maybe and maybe that’s the appeal because of kovid because you don’t want to get in trouble for gathering spend all this money to come gather there you go there you go i don’t know i don’t know i don’t have the secret i don’t have the answers but i might have i think the answers might be in your song i’m just going to say maybe i should just go ahead and go ahead and grab my guitar and uh i mean this lord help us give me one second all right for a minute uh good right much better than i do right now well actually you’ve lost some poundage haven’t you you know it’s funny you say that i i think i’ve put it on recently but i have lost weight over the last year and a half to two years yeah well good for you man thank you you’ve lost it i think i found it but well you know some of us do things when we’re stuck at home and some of us do other things when we’re stuck at home and yeah i guess i just didn’t eat i don’t know you probably stressed about something probably gotta look good for the ladies though yeah so hey uh is your daughter playing soccer this year let’s talk something you know yeah i’m glad you asked uh although it’s kind of disappointing because uh she broke her foot she fractured her foot really and uh it was it was a it was a non-contact injury so she’s 13 she just turned 13 last month and uh she’s been out with a non-contact fractured foot for quite a while because it’s healed now but then she started to walk on it wrong again and so she’s still not she’s not walking correctly so it’s still causing pain and so she’s in physical therapy right now and uh uh three days a week oh wow and took her for the first time myself yesterday and got to witness what she does and so yeah hopefully she’ll be back we got some tournaments coming up so hopefully she’ll be back soon i really miss watching her play yeah you know now remember that one year that ron shebert was her coach oh that was more than one year was well i’m sorry no is he a better is he a better soccer coach or a better county commissioner you see that he’s really good at both of them oh really so i’m going to say he’s a better county commissioner oh well yeah i mean so soccer was the soccer team very good certainly uh won uh some uh first place second place medals over the years he was a good coach then no i mean exactly i mean she started playing when she was five and she stunk when she started playing and by the time she left him and went on to well actually all the all of his girls got older and moved on to other stuff she was a much better player by then that’s awesome so you got to give him credit for that oh yeah do i mean yeah he knows how to he knows how to couch intentional soccer intentional soccer that’s that’s one of his terms and i’m still trying to figure out what it is what does that mean i i don’t know i’ve been asking him now for intentional i don’t know i just like where normally we would play accidental soccer well tonight we’re going to play intentional soccer i’ve asked him the same question couldn’t get an answer i think it’s one of those situations where when you’re a coach you’re and you’re also a county commissioner you’re somewhere in between you’re always a politician you’re doing something political on both i think that was just a donald trump moment for ron and he just spouted off one day intentional soccer he was mad by the way because the girls were not playing well and so he said you’re not playing intentional soccer and i’m like what the hell i like that we’re gonna have to research that he was just being political coming up with whatever comes right right well that happens we do that all the time exactly not knocking him no no no why would we now what else is going on in your life well i you know i i these days i i live in an apartment and i gotta tell you that um i don’t like it oh yeah uh do you know why i don’t like it why it’s loud it’s like everybody is your roommate yes you know especially when you live on the second floor and you have a third floor neighbor who uh walks like bigfoot yes and it is unbelievable and i cannot wait to get out of there i’m gonna buy a house in the country there you go i swear to god where there’s nobody because i’m scared that i’m going to end up in a neighborhood where it’s just like you know living in an apartment where there’s too many kids there’s too many of this there’s too many that i don’t have a little kid anymore so i don’t need little kids around right so well figure it out but get out there get you get you a place in the country get a little space for a soccer field oh that’s great and just go to town i like it some days if not this time someday i do aspire i actually had a little house in the country back when i was in my 20s uh i rented it briefly for a while it was it was the best really cool really cool so you got a noisy apartment complex yes yes and uh but i’m living through it um my lease is up in october so hopefully by october we’ll be happy november we’ll have some housewarming parties that are uh that are legal that are legal hopefully you don’t want you don’t get in trouble no so uh let me bring everyone up to date on what the health department is up to i got a text last night from mary jo vernon the director of the platte county health department let me punch that up and mary jo had a couple of exciting things to say one she says we’ve been getting offered extra trays of the pfizer vaccine for the past two weeks which equals 1170 doses each shipment so that’s exciting we’re getting more vaccine available in platte county so we were kind of in a vaccine desert for a while the urban areas we’re not getting uh nearly enough vaccine shipped to them uh and the rural areas meanwhile we’re throwing some away so that didn’t seem to be working out whoa no no no so that’s the good news number one and then also mary jo says she’s been working with getting a national guard site set up in platte county that would be for a mass vaccination event and so she’s got a meeting with the national guard folks tomorrow we are filming this on thursday night by the way if you’re not watching live you’re watching on the tape delay shall we say thursday night so friday she will be meeting with the national guard to discuss getting a national guard site set up for a mass vaccination event in platte county and they had they had uh vaccine clinics today they’ve got another one tomorrow they’ve got a board meeting next week so there you go a lot going on at the health department very good good yeah wait way to bring the news to the show yeah well that’s good thank her for texting and we’re going to get it set up eventually when schneider gets it all set up for us and he’s doing a great job with all the tech i mean as far as we know yeah because we have no idea how the hell he’s doing so hey schneider that sounds great and then schneider says hey you want brad to be a dance banana yeah how about a pineapple to be a pineapple maybe schneider’s like he’s like running the damn show he doesn’t even need us here i mean hey look oh my god oh what uh i wonder if he could make you shrek or something that would be it yeah so yeah i mean what was shrek’s voice like now i can’t remember what i i’m not a big cartoon guy was that eddie murphy no that was the donkey he was the donkey i don’t know but hey um the light do you like the lights that schneider got in you know what i was concerned at first but they actually i at least it sharpens the picture which i need a lot like if i could take these lights with me everywhere i go this would be great you’re liking hi-def man and i just gotta you keep talking i got an important text i have to sure go ahead because i’ve got a few things that uh that i wanted to we’re gonna do here if you don’t mind because it’s march bradness yes and uh we’ve always joke about march brad something’s cool about march brad is two things first of all i’m not really that big of a basketball fan so right i don’t get into march madness that much except for the time you made me do the yeah that was fun i almost won you did because you knew nothing and you almost won exactly that’s how those brackets work out exactly and secondly because march leads right up to my birthday on april 1st yeah so um but uh a couple things i wanted to mention first of all we’re gonna we’ve done this before we played uh dead or alive oh i love that game yeah you’re really good at it and i’m feeling you’re going to be really good at this one so we’ll do this real quick kind of a game thing um and some of these surprised me and a couple of them i came up by myself i’m like i wanted this person still alive i can’t remember so this is a hard game i mean i to see if you get them all right or not pat boone oh he’s live i just heard him on a radio commercial this morning boom yeah he was doing a commercial about uh the war on cash or something like that he thinks the government really is trying to do away with a system of cash and so he’s got some some kind of deal going on where he’s making money being a spokesperson for some kind of weird thing because he needs it he’s probably into conspiracy theories but he’s probably he probably thinks mass caused brain damage and all that stuff but it’s probably true how old do you think he is oh man man oh pat’s probably what 88 that’s a good guess he’s 86 86 yeah that was a good guess good guess uh how about this uh actor sidney poitier i think he’s deceased okay he’s 94. he’s not alive not deceased someone better tell him that’s crazy that is amazing you got to think about and i don’t need to be negative think about being 94 and going to bed every night and going yeah is this the last time yeah i mean at that point when you’re 94 if you’re still healthy you gotta live your life a one day at a time and b do whatever the hell you want to right right right i hope he is yeah i hope he is good for him how about this cat the guy who wrote and sang the streak ray stevens oh yes they call him the street is he dead or alive um ray i believe had some health issues but i don’t know if he’s i’m going to say he’s deceased no he’s still alive he’s alive i’ve okay yeah but i thought he can do schneider or uh oh hey i happen to have a uh you want to do it live on the air you want me to google google’s going to come up quickly bonnie bonnie talk brad i’m going to guess she’s dead you know bonnie i’m typing i guess her age was oh here she is american actress we’re googling uh she’s 70 deceased yes died on march 1st 2013 but see there she is yeah yeah she was that was her head yup i remember that cool yeah i used to watch that show quite a bit that show was a little bit before like it was in the 70s more right and so i did watch some shows in the 70s but i didn’t watch that one religiously remember the one with the radio guy with the mclean stevenson hello larry no he had a is that after mclean left mash he did uh this hello yes so he yes he took a career movie that he thought it was really going to be good for him and he’s going to be a star so yeah i wonder how many seasons that one ran that’s something else that we should look up sometime um but anyway i do have one more thing i have a couple of quotes you know i’m a quote guy yes i love good quotes and i found a couple that are kind of related that i thought were really cool and if i would have been thinking before the show i would have had schneider get a graphic for these but we’ll do this in the future sometime yes um my first one is it’s almost impossible ivan not to believe what you want to believe right okay think about that for a minute right yeah i mean i’m not going to be any specific specific about any particular thing we can talk about religion yes you could be talking about i don’t know soccer and referees you know mass causing brain damage masks causing brain damage right um yeah so and then tagged on to that it’s easier to fool people it’s easier to fool people ivan than it is to convince them that they’ve been fooled that’s it we’re getting awfully deep here you know this reminds me of a philosophy class that i took one time at missouri western which was like how did that go it’s a good thing you’ve got a microphone on because they wouldn’t be able to hear you not well i mean they’re right right because anytime i talk philosophy i you know it kind of dropped my voice level a little bit but yeah that was that was not not a good uh not a good class but it was interesting i i know it’s funny you’re saying yeah i took philosophy in my senior year of college as well and it was um i wish i remembered it oh well but i don’t i told you it was it was interesting uh shall we say at least four times well and it’s funny that you say that because the prophet i don’t know about you but the professor that taught mine was interesting yeah so i don’t know about you oh yeah all those professors are interesting for sure yeah yeah so uh as soon as we get a uh schneider to plan us out a storm chasing episode we’ll get to that i love it and uh and we’ll get to uh another performance of you out live probably tanners or someplace like that or great yeah i’ll even buy the pa system which i can’t use theirs they’re set up for karaoke so i’m pretty sure they’ll have you ready to rock and roll uh we did get a text in from a loyal uh viewer angie moody says thanks for the shout out well that she’s alive yeah so great andrew good to know uh and we ever do a dating game show come on or if we can ever just get together again we get angie on the show to talk about what she’s doing now right now that she left platte city that would be nice yeah no one would ask her why yeah why did she leave away from us yeah platte city has not been the same oh no so uh brad hey thanks for uh being a good sport with the banana face and singing a good tune and helping us play with the gadgets and helping schneider with all the uh you know the gamery i just i’m just the talent yes i know schneider’s a tough that’s true snyder is the talent which is you’re trying not to mess it up we really wanted to do a show just to try out some of the gizmos and gadgets and green screens
