Health director will be the guest
Up-to-the-minute information on the COVID-19 vaccine, the vaccination process and local supply levels of the vaccine will be discussed on this week’s episode of Landmark Live.
Mary Jo Vernon, director of the Platte County Health Department, will join Landmark publisher Ivan Foley for a discussion destined to be helpful and informative for local residents interested in receiving the vaccine.
Questions to be addressed include: what are the chances of a mass vaccination event to be held in Platte County? What have been the challenges for the local health department in acquiring doses of the vaccine? What is the estimated time frame on shot for the various categories of residents who have registered their interest with the health department? How many doses would the health department need to serve everyone in its jurisdiction who has expressed interest? Do people who have already experienced a bout with COVID need to be vaccinated? How are the local COVID-19 numbers, are they trending up or down?
