Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Kisker, Farley, will be honored on their 25th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children on Feb. 8, 1976.


Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gieseke will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at St. Matthews United Church of Christ on Sunday, Feb. 8.

Jonell Lee, born Jan. 22, 1976 at Cameron Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Helm. She weighed 9.5 pounds and has a brother, Jeffrey, and a sister, Jennifer, to welcome her into the family.


Press Kincaid of Tracy celebrated his 91st birthday on Wednesday, Feb. 4 with cake and ice cream and visits with several members of the family and friends.


Cadet Jeffrey Pierson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Pierson, Platte City, has earned a promotion at Wentworthy Academy.


Missouri’s newest school for severely handicapped young people, the first of eight such facilities expected to be opened this year–will be dedicated Feb. 8 at Kansas City. Maple Valley State School, 2575 NE Barry Road, with 116 students already enrolled, will be opened to the public following ceremonies featuring Gov. Christopher S. Bond and Commissioner of Education Arthur L. Mallory. The new facility, constructed of brick and sculptured concrete, was designed for a total enrollment of 150 students.
