Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bigus of Platte City announce the birth of their daughter on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1976 at the Cushing Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Bigus of Platte City are the paternal grandparents.
Richard Stanbery of Platte City has returned home after receiving his honorable discharge from the U.S. Coast Guard. He was stationed in Chicago, Ill. He is employed at Rock Ford in Platte City.
Miss Elaine Anderson was honored with a miscellaneous bridal shower at the Dearborn Christian Church on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 4, 1976. The affair, at which the ladies of the Christian Women’s Fellowship of the church served as hostesses, over 50 persons by their attendance and participation expressed their good wishes to the honoree.
Richard Hummer, postmaster of Dearborn, entertained the employees of the office at a delayed Christmas party on Tuesday, Dec. 30. His mother, Mrs. Marian Hummer, of St. Joseph, was also a very welcomed guest.
