More CARES grants approved

CARES Act

Seven more CARES small business grants were approved by the Platte County Commission in a meeting on Monday.

The grants total $528,675. Recipients will have to provide receipts and other documentation before being issued checks through the Platte County auditor’s office, which has been the standard procedure during the county’s grant program.

The grants are awarded using federal CARES dollars that were passed to the county via the state treasurer’s office.

Those grants approved this week:

*Bdr&r LLC, doing business as Twill, $1,372.

*Chantell’s Originals, doing business as Chantell’s, $3,719.

*Foutch Brothers, LLC, doing business as Foutch Brothers, an architecture/development firm, $92,454.

*Effective Sales Development, Inc., doing business as Sandler Training/ESD, $40,108.

*Synergy Services, a local non-profit, $250,000.

*Cottage House Inc. doing business as Avalon Café at Weston, $22,522.

*KOMA Manufacturing and Distributing LLC, doing business as KCI Expo Center, $118,500.
