Direct Medical Care breaks ground

Direct Medical Care

Direct Medical Care will put up a new location in the green space next to Price Chopper in Platte City.

The first shovels of dirt were turned on a new office building for Direct Medical Care in Platte City on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Dr. Ann Riggs, owner, with family and staff hosted a groundbreaking event at the site of her planned new office building in the green space just east of Price Chopper. The new building is expected to be completed in the spring of 2021, and at that time the medical facility will move from its current location at 1306C Platte Falls Road in Platte City. Direct Medical Care is a family practice that eliminates costs and overhead associated with insurance and in the process lowers patients’ health care costs, Dr. Riggs says. Many members of the Platte City Chamber of Commerce were on hand for the groundbreaking, which also featured a proclamation from Platte City Mayor Tony Paolillo declaring it Direct Medical Care Day in Platte City.
