The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Noland Peebles. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford H. Brown of Platte City, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Newman of Silver Springs, Maryland.
Gwyn Jones flew to his home in College Point, N.Y., Sunday after spending two months here with his grandmother, Mrs. Lucile Jones. A family dinner was held Friday evening in Gwyn’s honor.

Missouri Secretary of State James C. Kirkpatrick called upon the National Association of Secretaries of State at its annual convention in Las Vegas to continue its opposition to national post card voter registration. Secretary Kirkpatrick cited estimates such a national program would cost at least $50 million and conceivably as much as $500 million. Much of the cost will be wasteful since 93 million already registered voters would be mailed forms under the proposed legislation.
