Twin boys were born June 5, 1975 at Spelman Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Roger Mosby. They were named Roger Guy and Jeffrey David. Their total weight was nearly 12 pounds.
Mr. and Mrs. Clark Barr of Key West, Florida, announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Christiann Susan Bryant, to Patrick Joseph Kelley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred W. Kelley, of Dearborn, Missouri. The wedding will take place on June 21 at 7p.m. at the Dearborn Baptist Church.
A group of steam engine enthusiasts have formed the Platte County Steam Engine Show, Inc., and plans are underway to continue the Steam Engine Show. The Platte City Jaycees, who have sponsored the show the past 12 years, have dissolved the organization. Plans are to continue the show much in the same manner it has been in the past.
Ray V. Griggs, of Dearborn, has retired after 37 years of continuous service as a railway employee. He and Mrs. Griggs have a son, Steven, of Kansas City and a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn. As a sideline, Mr. Griggs for several years has hauled livestock and grain by truck. He plans to continue to do so.
Dr. Jerry O. Jenks received his Doctor of Optometry degree during commencement at Southern College of Optometry, Memphis, Tenn. on June 6. Dr. Jenks is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald E. Jenks, Weston. He plans to practice in Platte City, accompanied by his wife Nancy.
