March 21, 1975

An organizational meeting for the Platte County Cancer Crusade was held at the home of Mrs. Randy Broyles, chairman of the crusade for Platte County. The northern Platte County crusade is being led by the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. The crusade will be April 7-19. When the volunteers come to your door please help support the Cancer Society. Remember, we want to wipe out cancer in your lifetime.


Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Denney of Edgerton will be married 40 years March 22, 1975. Their children are holding an open house for them on Sunday afternoon, March 23 from 2-5 in the Ridgely Christian Church basement. All friends and relatives are invited to share this occasion with them. The honored couple requests no gifts, please.

Miss Kathy Latham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Latham of Platte City, is now doing her student teaching at the Lafayette High School in St. Joseph in the home economics department.


The Camden Point Christian Church and the Camden Point Baptist Church will jointly sponsor a Good Friday Fellowship on Friday, March 28. It will be held at the Baptist Church and will begin at 7:30 p.m. Congregational singing, special music by members of both churches and a period of prayer will begin the evening. The feature of the program will be a slide and taped music program on the Holy Land entitled “Where Jesus Walked.”
