A mother’s tip to school authorities allegedly led to a forensic examination of her daughter’s electronic devices and the arrest of her ex-husband.
On March 29, a school resource officer received word that a female student had been sending nude images on the Internet. Following written procedure, the officer confiscated the student’s electronic devices and sent them to the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Unit, where experts conducted an in-depth forensic examination, states court documents.
According to court documents, researchers found evidence that the student had been viewing pornography on the school laptop. When the school resource officer started discussing online safety with the female student, she allegedly admitted to sending the sexually explicit images.
During that same discussion, the student told the school resource officer she had been “touched inappropriately” by Stanley F. Troncin, Jr., age 38, now of Easton, Mo.
The girl alleges between February 2010 and May 2014 Troncin touched her “all over and it made her feel uncomfortable,” states court documents.
During an ancillary interview, the student told authorities when she was about eight years old, Troncin would pull her onto his bed and touch her “breasts, genitals and butt, always over the clothes,” say court documents. The student recalled Troncin Jr. often being drunk, according to the allegations.
Troncin denies the allegations against him and claims it’s a “ploy” to “make him look bad.”
Authorities say Troncin recently underwent a Computer Voice Stress Analyzer. The assessment “noted deception on Troncin’s part in regard to touching” the victim, according to court documents.
The Platte County Prosecutor’s Office charged Troncin with the felony of child molestation in the first degree.
