A civil lawsuit has been filed against a Louisburg, Kan. man following a two-vehicle collision on NW Argosy Casino Parkway in Riverside.

Thirty-year-old Ashley Weis of Fremont, Ohio filed the lawsuit Wednesday, Aug. 7 with the Platte County Circuit Court. According to court documents, Weis was traveling westbound on NW Argosy Casino Parkway in a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage when she was struck by a 2016 Chrysler 300 driven by Severt Anderson.

The collision occurred at about 2 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2018.

The suit claims Anderson made an unsafe left-hand turn onto NW Argosy Casino Parkway, causing the two-vehicles to collide.

Anderson, the suit says, was negligent for failing to yield the right of way, failing to use “reasonable care” and failing to look out for other vehicles.

Weis is seeking upwards of $25,000 in damages for lost wages, disfigurement, mental anguish and hospital expenses. The suit says her injuries are permanent and have affected her enjoyment of life.

Attorney Blaine Dickeson of the Dipasquale Moore Law Firm is representing Weis in this case.
