Thursday karaoke sessions set at Zona Rosa

Zona Rosa will have live music on tap again this summer with a series of free concerts.

The free concert series will once again provide live music in the Zona Rosa Town Square. The concerts, running from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday beginning on June 6 and running through Aug. 10.

New this year is on Thursdays is a live karaoke-style jam session. The audience calls the songs and audience members can even sign up to sing or play a song with the band known as Troubadour Retrievers.

Don’t want to get that involved? Just listen to the Troubadour Retrievers play some of your favorite hits from all genres every Thursday.

Bands have been announced for Fridays and Saturdays at Zona Rosa, the outdoor mall located at I-29 and Barry Road, as follows:

FRIDAYS 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 7: Jessica Paige June 14: State Line Drive June 21: Petty Theft (Tom Petty tribute) June 28: Wonderfuzz July 5: Drew Six July 12: Rusty Laffoon July 19: Olivia Fox July 26: The Zeros Aug. 2: Right on Red.

SATURDAYS 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 8: Cantaloupe City June 15: Kaos Theory June 22: Sean McNown June 29: Stolen Winnebagos July 6: Flashback July 13: Vigil Annie July 20: Just What I Needed (The Cars tribute) July 27: Red Guitar. Aug. 3: Gypsies, Dreams and Doves (Stevie Nicks tribute) Aug. 10: Big Time Grain Co (School of Rock House Band Opener)
