Nick Palmer has announced his candidacy for Platte County Recorder of Deeds, and he’s asking for your support on Aug. 4.

Nick isn’t a newcomer to this work. He has spent time working within the recorder of deeds office and knows firsthand what the job requires — precision, accountability, and a deep respect for the public trust that comes with it. He says he is ready to get to work to make sure the office works the way it should, efficiently and honestly, for every taxpayer in the county.

“A person’s deed is one of the most foundational and grounding things in life,” said Palmer. “It represents a place where we find our peace, where family gathers, and where memories are made. It would be my honor to protect that for my neighbors and to bring a commonsense approach back to this office. Our community deserves nothing less than an accessible office that operates with integrity and accountability. A place where employees can work proudly to provide a genuine focus on local needs. I am ready to listen, serve, and to show up every single day for the people of Platte County.”

Nick is also honored to carry the endorsement of Gloria Boyer, who served as Platte County Recorder of Deeds for many years and earned the deep respect of this community along the way.

“I wholeheartedly endorse Nick Palmer,” said Boyer. “This office requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of the law, and the courage to do what’s right — even when it isn’t easy. Nick has the experience, the character, and the commonsense approach this office needs.”

Nick was born and raised in Platte County. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Central Missouri. Nick and his wife are both proud Platte County graduates and are raising their two children here. They belong to The Rock of KC Church and this community is where they’ve chosen to build their life.

“This isn’t just where I work — it’s home,” said Palmer. “My family lives here. My kids will grow up here. I care deeply about getting this right, not just as a candidate, but as a neighbor.”

On Aug. 4, voters will have the opportunity to choose a recorder of deeds with local roots, real experience, and a genuine commitment to Platte County. Nick Palmer says he is ready to serve.
