ANNUAL EVENT READY IN PLATTE CITY
More than 60 vendors, multiple food trucks, and a whole lot of family fun are promised by organizers of the annual Main Street Fall Festival.
The festival is set for Thursday, Sept. 25 from 5-8 p.m. in Downtown Platte City.
There are some new activities in the works this year, says Jamie Kacz, executive director of the sponsoring Platte City Chamber of Commerce.
New additions this year include a hay ride, mini golf, and an inflatable sports challenge, Kacz says.
“We hope that the new activities will be enjoyed by family members of all ages,” she said.
For the kids, there will be returning features like a bounce house, Reading Rocket truck, face painting, balloon twisters, and pumpkin decorating.
Community performance groups will include the Platte County High School cheerleaders, PCC Cheer, Platte County High School Treasures Dance team, Beatniks Dance studio and Elements Dance.
Food trucks scheduled to be on hand include Sizzle & Sweets, Mama Doe’s Ice Cream, Sunglow Lemonade, Corner Dog and Chick-fil-A.
