Unofficial numbers show a very slight gain in enrollment at Park Hill in the new school year.

Park Hill School District officials said last week the unofficial enrollment numbers show the 2020-21 school year enrollment at 11,767 students. That’s up by only half a percent compared to last year, officials said, with last year’s enrollment at 11,709 students.

School officials admitted the half a percent growth “is less growth than we anticipated.”

The kindergarten number was particularly surprising. School officials said there are 79 fewer kindergarten students than had been projected.

At the high school level, school officials said enrollment is 64 students more than projected.

Though the enrollment growth is quite small: “Our K-12 enrollment has increased for 37 consecutive years,” school officials said.
