Things about to get messy on Landmark Live This week the hosts are making pottery and whatnot.
Landmark Live, the weekly live 30-45 minute internet show produced by the Platte County Landmark newspaper every Thursday at 6 p.m., takes to the road for an episode to be broadcast from the location of this week’s advertising sponsor, Parkville Artisans’ Studio, 111 Main Street in historic downtown Parkville.
Hosts Ivan Foley and Chris Kamler will be taking a hands on approach in this episode. “I’m going to get you guys a little messy playing on the pottery wheels so don’t wear your top hat and tails,” says Tricia Szasz, owner of the studio and gallery, known as the arts and creativity center of Parkville.
Landmark Live will go live at 6 p.m. Thursday on The Landmark’s Facebook page, which can be found at Facebook.com/PlatteCountyLandmark. If you miss the live show, the videos remain on Facebook for viewing at your leisure. The shows are also later linked on Twitter @ivanfoley and @TheFakeNed, as well as placed on YouTube.
Watch for a brief live video preview of the show around 5 or 5:15 p.m. Thursday.
Other upcoming episodes for Landmark Live include:
Thursday, Nov. 23: Thanksgiving, so no official show but Foley and Kamler will be doing live video hits on Facebook from wherever they happen to be celebrating the holiday. They’ll be providing their “Lock of the Week” feature and other commentary during those abbreviated segments.
Thursday, Nov. 30: Look for Kamler and Foley to get all sweaty and whatnot in their workout clothes for this one. The ladies at Flexy Body Babes in downtown Kansas City have invited the boys down to run them through the wringer. The Flexy Body Babes specialize in hosting workouts they call “pop-up boot camps.” The Body Babes have told us confidence is flexy. This episode will be coming to you live from the Beacon Lounge at the Power & Light Apartments in downtown Kansas City.
Thursday, Dec. 7: Fore! The show is on the road again, this time to tackle the sport of golf and many other topics at the Shiloh Springs Golf Course east of Platte City. Shiloh Springs will be hosting a Platte City Chamber of Commerce After Hours event on this night, so you never know who will be dropping in as spontaneous special guests.
