State and local officials joined company representatives Monday morning, March 24 at a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration for Central Power Systems & Services at its new facility in Platte City. The manufacturer of power generators used in industry will offer up to 245 new jobs at the site, as well as bring 60 other employees from existing company locations. Mayor Steve Hoeger said the project, located east of I-29 and north of Hwy. 92, is the largest economic development project in Platte City’s history. Central Power Systems has locations in 23 cities across 10 different states.
