DISPLAY TAKES PLACE AT PLATTE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS

A nighttime fireworks display is set for tonight, Tuesday, July 4th, in Platte City at the Platte County High School campus.

The display begins at 10 p.m.

There is no stadium seating being offered for the display, which is typically visible from a great distance. Some of the popular viewing locations in the past have been Hillcrest Thrift Shop parking area, Platte Valley Park, the Mid-Continent Public Library parking lot, Price Chopper, Platte County High School parking area and Platte City Middle School parking areas, as well as parking lots at Siegrist Elementary School and Compass Elementary School.

The display caps off the City of Platte City’s July 4th celebration, which featured a daytime event at the Rising Star Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
