I’ve been wondering about my permanent record lately. Who keeps those? I feel like I’d like to see about getting some items expunged from it, but I’m not sure where to start. Any thoughts?
Speaking of my permanent record, Foley hasn’t said anything lately but I think he’s about to have a sit down with me over bad columns. Probably deserve a stern talking to over my milquetoast takes of late, just hoping it doesn’t reach permanent record level.
Really feel like it is just an attitude problem. Surely I can correct that, right?
Have our permanent records been digitized at this point, or has the paper file been moved up the ladder since grade school? The government got a big building with these records or what? Maybe I’m putting too much thought into this.
I’ve come to respect this current Democratic regime in Washington. They have taken government redefining things to a new level. They started with gender and have us totally confused on what a woman and man are at this point, but now they have moved on to the economy. They have redefined what constitutes inflation, recessions and most everything else that was assumed common sense for decades and decades.
This is a time-tested government process of confusing the little people, but they have upped their game.
I thought when local government started calling areas “wild grass areas”, which was code for “we ain’t mowing this all year,” that was genius. But it pales in comparison to the White House’s efforts on redefining things. Kudos from the Heartland!
Speaking of the Heartland, we’ve mostly lost our minds here as well. On Monday morning at 10:13 a.m., I got a push notification on my phone from the Kansas City Star that read, “Dangerous heat returns to Kansas City. People urged to stay inside when possible.”
Are we to the point of encouraging otherwise healthy people to avoid heat that happens every summer? I just don’t understand. Surely people can feel the heat and not need a warning, but maybe I’m just old fashioned and think we can trust people to understand when and how long they should be exposed to natural elements.
Oh yeah, and avoid the Monkeypox, cause that’s bad. too. In case you are keeping score at home, don’t go in the heat. Don’t get COVID, don’t get the Monkeypox and wear a mask when you are indoors. Just 14 days to flatten this curve, we can do it together!
By the time this column hits your air-conditioned hands, Eric Greitens’ political career will be over again. I’m going to miss him. Imagine if he had simply gone to a local barber shop to get his ears lowered instead of a hairdresser he’d probably be running for president in 2024. Win some, lose some. Onward we go to the general election.
This going to be a fun November. All the cross-party voting is over now, Red and Blue about to rumble across the country and it is going to be fascinating.
