Downtown Platte City will be getting in on the World Cup Soccer Tournament action.
A watch party will be held on Main Street in Platte City beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, as organizers say a high definition “Jumbo TV” screen will provide attendees with a view of the Argentina vs. Algeria match that night.
The Main Street event begins at 7 p.m., the soccer match starts at 8 p.m.
Family friendly activities on the street will include bounce houses, face painting, Henna tattoos from 7-9 p.m., food trucks including Sizzle & Sweet and Sunglo, a crossbar tournament with a signed ball from Sporting KC, a soccer kick-around for kids.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
