EDITOR:

Fairly certain that I am not alone in this appeal to all political candidates, regardless of party affiliation or independent. We, the electorate, are fed up with your Jerry Springer style of campaigning – the mud-slinging, name calling, negative rhetoric. We want to know who you are, where you stand, and what we can count on you to do to represent and serve us. Period!

Democrats oppose Amendments 4 and 5

Wasting campaign dollars on tearing down your opponent sends a clear message that you don’t have enough depth or value to be elected. A campaign strategy of attacking others, instead of promoting yourself, speaks volumes about you. And when you get attacked, don’t fire back and get drug down into the muck – we don’t want to hear it. Take the high road and show us the character and statesmanship that we need in our elected officials.

It’s time to change the narrative, and where better to start than right here in Platte County and Northwest Missouri. Show the rest of the country how political campaigns and elections should be done. Can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 250th birthday of the USA.
