A copy of The Landmark made a trip to The Great White North, along with Larry Van Fosson of Platte County. It was a journey to Big Canon Lake in Ontario, Canada for a week of fishing. Part of the adventure was getting there, Larry says. “After flights to International Falls, a 2.5 hour drive and a 20 minute float plane ride we arrived. It was my third trip and can’t wait to return next year as the fishing and camaraderie was unbelievable,” Larry explained. “Walleye, lake trout, northern pike, smallmouth bass and the occasional crawdad were caught. There are muskie but none fell for our deception,” he said. “Eight of us made the trip. Stories were told, beverages were consumed, lies were told and several world problems solved during the evening meetings. Although it seems like the powers that be are not listening to a bunch of fishermen!” Larry then added: “The Landmark really gets around and that’s fantastic!” Headed somewhere noteworthy?
