A Platte County Circuit Court judge was correct in issuing an order of protection for a Parkville businessman against a Parkville newspaper publisher last year. That’s the ruling handed down by the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, in regard to the order of protection that was granted last year to Tom Hutsler, downtown businessman and property owner, against Mark Vasto, who publishes a small weekly newspaper in Parkville. Hutsler, 55, was granted the order one year ago following an altercation that Hutsler says was brought on when Vasto, 38, entered his building and allegedly shoved Hutsler with his chest. Hutsler said the door to his building was locked when Vasto entered and angrily initiated the altercation. “You can write whatever you want, but when it turns physical, that’s where I draw the line,” Hutsler said.
