City Wonderland, a holiday-drive-thru around the new City Hall complex at 224 Marshall Road, was hosted by city officials and other representatives in Platte City on Saturday evening, Dec. 14. The event, which ran from 4-6 p.m., featured cookies and other small treats, coloring sheets, etc. being handed out to patrons as they drove the path, which featured a handful of “stations.” The Northland Regional Ambulance District and Central Platte Fire district also had representation on hand. Among those taking part were a festively-dressed Mayor Steve Hoeger, Police Chief Joe Wellington, and Santa and Mrs. Claus. The city plans to make the drive-through scene
