THE FORMER PARK COLLEGE POWER PLANT

South Platte Memorial Post 7356 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars has announced it has acquired a new Post home. VFW Post 7356 closed on the deal on Friday, Nov. 15. The new home will be this building at Two Main St. in Downtown Parkville, commonly known as the Power Plant. The building in the past has been the location for the Power Plant restaurant and later restaurants as well. Post officials say this location will initially be used for their activities.  Commander Joe Wolfgeher says that once they get moved in, the VFW will host a grand opening, most likely in early 2025. The VFW will eventually offer hall rentals and other activities for the public, he said.
